Over the last couple of months a number of companies have been perfecting moves to go public. Thus, private placements are surfacing everywhere you turn. Guesstimates put the number of placements this year at 20. Recent placements have been MTN, Tantalizers, Partnership Investment Limited, Lotus Capital, Resort Savings & Loans, Omega Savings, Onward Paper Mills, Leadstone Investment & Trust, Afromedia, Resourcery, Courteville Investments (Autoreg Vehicle Registration), and the list goes on. How profitable are private placements, should investors be looking in that direction?
